About the Under Ground Theatre

Home of Eastbourne Arts Centre

Hello, and welcome. Thank you for visiting and taking an interest in the Under Ground Theatre.

Where are we?

The Under Ground Theatre is the warm and intimate performance space situated beneath the Central Library, Grove Road, Eastbourne - (see map). (Parking nearby at the Enterprise Centre is free after 6pm.) It is the home of Eastbourne Arts Centre, a charitable trust -(no 801303) - and is run entirely by enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers.

What do we do?

We aim to provide the following:

a venue for small-scale professional productions of Drama, Dance and Music
an affordable venue for amateur groups and local societies
a programme of events that has something to appeal to all ages and interests
an opportunity for local people to join in and express their own talents and abilities
a meeting place for local people and visitors with a common interest in the Performing Arts
